VSX VLEX
As per the news in Sept 2012, this new wagon is on target for a 2012 delivery.
Checking of pre-production samples has shown that this model is very accurate and well detailed BUT we have had to make some minor modifications to allow the model to cope with and go around 18 inch radius curves. As it was it could only navigate 24 inch curves but this has been rectified. The changes made are very minor and most modellers will not pick the changes with out detailed references and these samples we have in hand at present.

The model does look awkward on 18 inch curves but we had to ensure it could cope with this curve rate before going into production, as if it can cope with an 18 inch curve it can run on 95% of layouts well.

Delivery is still expect after mid 2012 all going well.
Models will be available individually from all good model and hobby stores.
Over time all liveries and designations will be produced.
Expected retail price is 49.95 each.
Accuracy and detail has been described by other individuals as excellent.

NEW 48 Class News and announcements
Hi all,

I apologise for the silence. The lack of communication has been due to our current moves and a lack of internet and Email access for over a month now.
The lastest production samples of the 48 Class have been reviewed and we will hopefully receive news of the impending production in delivery after the Chinese return from their Lunar New Year Holidays. News is expected around the second week of February and we should make an announcement after that.
Look out for a DCC Sound article coming out in the Model Railways in Australia magazine that will show the fitting of DCC sound into the new 48 Class by a well known and talented individual in Sydney.

Regards

Ian

Powerline Models has moved
The offices, administration, warehouse, distribution centre and wholesaling od Powerline Models has MOVED.
This move took place from early December 2011 through to mid January 2011 and should be completed by the end of February 2012. These is still yet much to build, set up and re-establish. The supply of Powerline Models product has been non existant leading up to the move, during the move and now whilst we unpack everything and set up. Things should start to return to normal from February 2012 and then improve after that as we centralise the operations of Poweline Models and streamline the activities.
Internet and Email activities have just been restored at the Powerline factory.

Regards

This has been announced and is on the web site under coming soon.
Delivery is expect late in 2012, Aug/Sept 2012 and will be available in all good model and hobby shops across Australia.

The model will be well detailed and accurately represent the VSX and VLEX. The detail on the first samples has been to a high level and comparable with the best the Australian RTR plastic model market has to offer.
3 different doors have been produced for this model and unlike another model, this one does not have opening doors.

The model comes standard with Kadee No 5 couplers and Associated Distributors bogies fitted.

The models will come in a number of liveries and different running/fleet numbers and all will be available individually. Expected retail price per wagon $49.95
